As it relates to anti-Semites: If an accurate portrayal of the Gospels account of the death of Jesus is viewed as anti-Semitism, then the Bible must be anti-Semitic, too. Wow, Big Brother must be lurking somewhere. From a totally objective point of view, reading the Bible as literature-a group of Jewish people, aided by Roman soldiers and political patsies crucified Jesus. A Confederate sympathizer killed Lincoln. Muslim extremists killed thousands on September 11th. I’m not really sure who killed J.R., but it was someone on a soap opera. Historically, SOME “so-called” Christians have treated Jews poorly for what ever reason and that has not helped the cause. Still, to refer to the Bible, or a literal reading of the Bible, as anti-Semitic is absolutely wrong. My guess is that the Jews that are behind the press against the movie have a much different motive than worry about anti-Semiticacts.
