An excellent question. The answers are yes, there is a way to search the messages no, there is no search option, and no, you're not seeing it.

If it struck your fancy to search through the messages the method I would use would be going to www.google.com and doing a search for "site:fryzland.com keyword" without the " of course. While not a perfect offering it is fairly thorough and up to date and works as well as any built in search engine would, and it's fast. Also, it has a cache of most of the posts so you can just look at the cached copy of the post and it will highlight the keywords you're looking for, or you can on occasion use it to see if there has been any revision to history...
