I am hoping you can shed some light on something I have been puzzled by in the last couple of days. I was reading I Corinthians and came across the scripture in chapter 15 vs. 29. It about blew me away when I read it, because in a recent conversation with some friends of ours, they made a comment about a Mormon practice of being baptized for the dead. We thought that was one of the strangest things we had ever heard of and neither of us had ever heard of it before. Well, when I was reading and came across this verse, I started trying to find out what it was talking about. My commentary does not give much explanation and a couple of people I have asked do not know what it means either. Any ideas? It would be interesting to see how many people are aware of this verse and what their views on it would be.
