Yes, love is definitely the key to having an impact on people that don't agree with us. We ought to love the person who mistakenly believes in evolution, even if they're being unlovable. I think the AIG organization is most helpful in presenting useful facts for believers to better understand the debate so that we can have intelligent conversations with unbelievers on the subject. Overall, I doubt that "debating" will ever really change anyone's mind, particularly a professor. :-) But I think we can make the most headway when we find and create relationships with unbelievers, which will lead to opportunities for genuine conversations with them.
