Essay: 'Creationism' is false because, among other reasons, it is neither provable nor disprovable. It is not provable because nothing it teaches can be factually demonstrated. It is not disprovable because no amount of evidence contradicting its claims, no matter how valid and firmly founded, will ever be accepted by its proponents.

I can and will say the same about the theory of evolution. No has seen "Macroevolution" occur. Ever. And proponents will not accept any contradictory evidence.

Let us at least attempt to look past ideologies and look at actual logical arguments. It is an interesting note to include that in a review of Dr. Wells book "Icons of Evolution" where he points out things that are incorrect in biology books, the review doesn't say that he is wrong, but that science has progressed beyond that point and textbooks are usually a few years behind science. Case in point the Peppered Tree Moths, which is compared to the staging of the Battle of Gettysburg. Which is a false analogy.

Then Michael Behe uses the idea of minimally complex structures to say that evolution could not have occured naturally in his book "Darwin's Black Box".

These are serious concerns that people have raised. They do not deal with Christianity, they deal with issues that a supposed scientific theory is supposed to be able to explain and predict.

As far as evolution being against everything I believe, I am not descended from ape-like ancestors. If I was then Adam was a myth. If Adam was a myth, then Jesus could not be who he claimed to be. Luke points out that Jesus was the son of Adam, not his immediate offspring, but geneologically. Also, how could Romans claim from divine inspiration that death came through Adam as life now comes through Christ, if natural selection was in place billions of years before Adam ever existed. The historocity of creation is an integral part of the Bible. Otherwise Paul could not claim that all scripture is God breathed when writing to Timothy.

It is a shame that some desire to distort the scriptures to fit their own world view. I can understand the desire, because some things that God has said are hard, but we must not do that.
