One of the biggest hindrances is that we often start to lecture, instead of converse, and vice versa. I'm bad at this so I don't have room to talk, but often when we should be having a conversation of peers we have a lecture of superiority occuring, and when one is speaking from experience it doesn't need to be condescending.Also when it comes to structure it is not good for any one person to dominate the group. This isn't directed at any one person, but it is easy for some people to talk and for others it is a long deliberate process. The easy talkers need to make allowances for the people with difficulty and allow them a chance, instead of dominating.
