While this debate over the origen of life as we know it goes on, I'd like to take a moment to have a thought about what the different repercussions are. Quick quote from the Encyclopedia Brittanica (it seems to be popular) "In the development of a sound concept of the origin of forms of life, the first step probably had to be a firmly grounded belief in the autonomous reproduction and permanence of species." This is of course in relation to the concept of evolution. The essence here is that if evolution is true, in the concept of macroevolution, then God is unneccessary, and therefore whether or not he exists is not worthy of question. Just so we know where we stand. The basic concept of Evolution is survival of the fittest. This easily leads to might makes right, or mob rule. The basic concept of the Judeo-Christian view is to love your neighbor as yourself, which involves helping out those less fortunate than yourselves. Leaving the majority of evidence aside, because much of it can be used for either view, there is a moral issue here. Belief in God leads to morality, belief in evolution doesn't.
