The article linked below relates to the ordination of the homosexual Episcopal bishop a few weeks ago. There is an eye catching quote (incomprehensible, but eye catching) about Biblical interpretation worth noting.
Walter Brueggemann, a theologian quoted in a pro-same-sex-union Episcopal publication, put it like this: Scripture is "the chief authority when imaginatively construed in a certain interpretive trajectory."

There seems to be a lot of imaginative interpretive trajectory out there these days.
