Of course there are many beliefs in common between the Church of God and the churches of Christ. For an overview of the beliefs and organization of the Church of God visit www.chog.org and on the sidebar click on Church of God. Then you can look at some of their specific teachings, including "how to be saved." This is assuming that we're talking about the Church of God headquartered in Anderson, Indiana. There are other entities that use the name including some 7th day and pentecostal churches. For the Anderson affiliation, some differences with most churches of Christ include their teaching that salvation is accomplished by saying a sinner's prayer; the fact that there is a national assembly and headquarters (not congregational autonomy); that pastors are ordained by the approved church schools/authorities and assigned to lead churches; and the use of instruments in worship. So, among other things, there are differences in organization/government, differences in the doctrine of salvation, and differences in how to worship, despite also having many things in common.
