Re: working system

Sure God can do anything, but there are a couple of limiting factors he's put upon himself. For one, he won't do anything contrary to his nature, that includes things like lieing and the likes. Secondly, he like to work with what he's already got. There were a couple of times when he considered starting fresh, Noah could've been destroyed with everyone else and God could have started a fresh new better world, but he decided to give us another chance. Also, another example that comes to mind would be Moses and the Israelites, a time or two God tried to convince Moses that he would be a better progenerator for the Israel nation than Jacob was, but again he used what he had.

One of the best images of God in this case would be his parental one. He wants us to suceed, but there are sometimes when you've got to let the young ones do their own thing if they're going to learn, sure you can punish your kid everytime he reaches for the hot stove, or you can let him experience it once. It's painful to do, but sometimes if you don't let them try their own thing they'll never understand why they should be doing something else.

Honestly, would you like to live in a world where everything was pre-ordained and destined for you to be perfect? The choice to be good is a large part of what God wants from us, I imagine he feels a glow of pleasure everytime we attempt to emulate one of his many good qualities just as a parent would when they see their offspring try to emulate one of their better attributes.

A great brand new song that's starting to get some play time is "Beautiful" by Sarah Sadler, awesome musically, and the lyrics are about how she wants to be a Christian because her parents were beautiful examples to her as a child (admitedly I think she's only about 17 or something like that...), but I think it illustrates my point exactly, there's much to be said for the system we have where we choose whether to emulate our father, or to spurn him.

And no I don't know where you can find the song or lyrics, just listen to the local CCM (Contemporary Christian Music that would be 89.5 locally, but you probably have a better chance of hearing it on 100.1) station I guess, her CD isn't scheduled to come out until September I can't hardly find anything about it...
